Yes, Brooklyn gets a second feature on my blog. Darn it, its just that captivating. Bushwick is just that captivating. I honestly didn't want to leave, and if it wasn't for the sun going down, I would have stayed to capture the spirit of the area more. I honestly don't know where to begin with what I have to say because I was like a tourist with an iPhone 4S camera snapping away.
I'll start with Union Pizza Works, a pizza restaurant located on 423 Troutman Street. Gosh I'm in love with this place! It's such a type of restaurant to go and meet up with friends or break the ice on a first date. Anywhere that's calm and relaxing is a place to break the ice with someone--but that's another blog post for another day, lol. Anyway, I gave this pizza place a try because of its different appeal. Upon walking into UPW, there's a partial fence located in front as you walk in, and then outdoor seating and inner seating that almost carries the notion that it used to be someone's garage-turned cozy pizza spot. Whatever the idea or branding concept, I like it all the way!
I ordered the margherita pizza with a fancy glass bottle of tap water. While I've had better margherita pizza elsewhere, the pizza was still good and worth ordering again.
If you are ever in Brooklyn anytime soon, definitely go by and visit this place! Oh, and don't forget to bring cash with you-- they don't take credit cards. Be sure to let your date know that; but again, that's for another blog post!
