God's Provision

Whew…Its been way too long. Like, way too long since I've written on my blog. I can assure you that there is a reason, but definitely not an excuse. Before I get into what the Lord laid on my heart concerning 2015, I will say that life's circumstances has a way of attempting to stop you at your purpose, but we must keep moving. A few months ago my family and I were facing a very trying time with a close family member. It was a situation that I wouldn't even think would come remotely close to my family, but it did. If there is one thing about life; we are not exempt from life's test and trials, but we do have an assurance and a promise that God is with us always(Matthew 28:20); in every circumstance. Even throughout the circumstance God would keep pressing me to write; I mean to the point where He would literally give me great understanding about something and I knew I needed to write it on the blog. What did I do? I wrote it on one of my many scraps of paper that has all the other things that I've been meaning to share. To say the least, with faith and trusting God, The Lord truly came through for my dear family member, and as for me, I'm back to blogging! Now lets connect...

Just a few days ago nearly all of us celebrated one of the most exciting holidays ever, Christmas. Every year there is a reenactment of the birth of Jesus around Christmas time in nearly every church and possibly a few schools. While we should certainly celebrate the true meaning of Christmas(Jesus Christ, and why He came into the world), The Lord pointed out something so unique to me as I was reading His word. The Lord laid on my heart to revisit the story of the birth of Jesus in Luke 2 and Matthew 2. Both stories give a good glimpse into this joyous occasion, but I particularly felt led to hover over Matthew 2:11 which reads, "and when they(wise men) had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh." Now as I read this, The Lord pressed upon me that just in the same way that He made provision available to His Son, Jesus, through the hands of others, He blesses us with provision in the same way that He did His Son.

I know to some it might seem strange that I would make mention of provision when everyone has placed such a hugh emphasis on the birth of Christ; rightfully so, its how we've always heard it. I honestly like to think of this as God giving His Son a baby shower and the wise men were His exclusive guest. Amazing right? Before we were born, God already foreknew everything that we would ever need in this life. Nothing catches God by surprise. Nothing. If you have been wondering how things are going to workout in 2015, The Lord wants you to stop wondering. The year 2015 is going to be representative of the Isaiah 43:19 harvest: "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." You see that? God says He is doing a new thing! And I believe in the upcoming year we are going to see manifestations of blessings in a new way. I dare you to keep believing God for whatever you have been needing and wanting to do. Your provision is coming and your reward is sure!
